Your words, your data

All your data stays on your phone. We use AI recognition for features but never save your data on our servers. No account required—everything is secure on your device.

1. Data storage

All your data—including your entries, words, notes, and streaks—is stored locally on your phone. We do not collect or store any personal information on our servers. No account is required to use Word Journal.

2. AI recognition

We use OpenAI's AI services for recognition features (such as object scanning and language validation). When you use these features, your data is sent to OpenAI for processing, but we never save or store this data on our servers. The data is only used temporarily for the AI recognition process and is not retained by us.

3. Your control

Since all your data is stored on your device, you have complete control. You can delete the app at any time, and all your data will be removed from your phone. We don't have access to your data, so there's nothing to request from us—it's all yours.

4. Security

Your data is secure because it never leaves your phone except for temporary AI processing. We don't store anything on our servers, so there's nothing for us to retain or protect on our end. Your device's built-in security features protect your local data.
